I'm going to quit blogging...

Here, anyway ;)!!!
How many of you caught my announcement this morning in my (late) Thankful Thursday post that that post would be the last Thankful Thursday post here? How many of you suspected that "here" meant this blog, and how many of you thought that it meant I was going to discontinue my favorite category of posts?!
No, I wouldn't quit Thankful Thursdays. But I am moving to a new blog :).
Since Mommy came up with this really neat name for a blog that featured Thankful Thursdays :), when I had been meaning to change my blog name anyway (and didn't know how to make my blog address match the title without old readers losing it :)), and since I found the latest background on the Plumrose Lane site and loved it, and since I had wanted to work with my sidebar anyway, and many other things that happened :)... I just decided to go with a new blog, partly so that I wouldn't have to work around stuff, partly because I didn't want to lose all my posts on this blog doing something disastrous, and partly just because I thought that this was too much change for a well-seasoned blog ;)... Anyway....

Just tidbits...

Last week was a week full of chores, school, a few tears, lots of smiles, and a whole lot of fun! Just home life ;). Tori and I played more card games and games of Life then I can count, and that was just during the little one's quiet times ;)...

We received news the other day that we'll be having a family come look at our house sometime this week. We are definitely praying about that!
I am still enjoying studying Romans extremely! I have the first eight chapters all copied out once, but I am making another copy to "scribble" on, as well as the one that I wanted to put up :). I need to hurry and finish the second copy, because I can't wait to start "scribbling", haha :). It has been wonderful to stay in one passage for so long. I feel that I had gained so much more insight than from reading almost half of the bible in this time like I have in the past. Not that I think the past readings were wasted! I also think it is wonderful to read large potions in a row to get the big picture of the book you are reading, and I may very well do it again :). I just like this, as well :).
We had a wonderful time of fellowship with Miss Brenda (a lady from church :)) yesterday in between services. She treated us to lunch, so sweet :). And the sermon yesterday I thought was wonderful. It was convicting, but also very encouraging :)!
We're now into a new week, and looking forward to how the Lord will use it :). I promise to do all in my power to post a Thankful Thursday catch-up this week :P.
I also wondered what those of you who read my blog would think of doing a recipe "contest" next week :)?...
(And, no, I'm not entirely sure why my blog background is missing... I'm working on it. I think it may be because the site I got it from is being up dated :).)

Tori's blog is now here :)!!! I just figured out the last tiny detail (how come even things I have done before take my forever to figure out? I was just taking off "posted by Bri" from the footer... :)...), and now I think her blog is up and ready to be used :)! I just have to show her how to upload pictures while I post some on some of her old posts that I didn't do right on Homeschoolblogger :P, and the work on Tori's blog should be finish! But you can enjoy it now :)...

(This was before the hair cut... haha :). I know he is fairly good at growing hair, but not that good ;).)

Now, as to Tori's blog, we may be importing it to Blogger. Maybe, maybe not. It may be quicker to copy and paste all her posts then to import them. Haha...
We left her blog "importing" all night. And it still isn't done. Sigh...
It looks like everything is going fine... until ten hours later when it is still "writing blog posts"! I shall try my best to move it :)... It may take a few weeks... months.... years... though :). Or, maybe, since I have stated the truth about the ridiculous time we're having, it will now work all of the sudden for some reason... it has happened before... twice, actually...

Get ready, get set, Tori's blog is going...

I'm not positive this will be permanent, but, at least for now, I think it will cut down on a whole lot of confusion, and with that in mind, you may see her more often in the future, too :).
Since she is using the HomeschoolBlogger site, and I am using Blogger, I have problems helping her with uploading pictures/videos, finding gadgets, etc. Plus, you can't customize the background on that site, which is something she really wants, and Blogger has the fish gadget- another win for her ;).
It's not that HomeschoolBlogger is bad. It has served her good use :). But, for less trouble, it would be best if we were both using the same site so that we know where to find everything :). It will end up being on my account, at least for a few months, as we have tried to set her up her own Blogger account before, and it gave us it's own little fit of issues about adding her on, but she'll keep her old blog up, so that she is able to comment in her name, so that there won't be any confusion that way :).
I just wanted to give you all a heads up on why she won't be posting where you usually find her anymore :)...

I'll be keeping this post up...

Until I've been through the blog, making all the changes in mind. It will probably be coming down after I'm done, but I have no idea how long this will take, so I'll link to it on my sidebar :)... as "The post of many changes", haha ;). At least most of these changes will just be added (older) pictures or added links to something I mentioned... I think I have a few posts to find and give the actually name of some of the books I have mentioned, now that I got the title of the ones I'm thinking of from my Grandma's book shelf :). Anyway, I'm not sure who will want to bother, but, just for fun for those who do wish to see...

More blog stuff...

I have decided to go back to my old format for pictures, with the captions as italics centered underneath. I hate the bulky look when the words are larger in the box, but I dislike how small they are if I don't enlarge them, also, so, I'll just go back to the other. I'll probably go back and change the picture format of all the old pictures with the new format, also...
And, I may add some pictures to old posts now that I know how to do so after the pictures are on cards ;). I'll link to them here and there, if I do :).

Blog stuff: Asking advice, and rambling :)...

Did anybody notice the blog design update?
I've tried to install tags to my blog background before, but it never worked (I've been trying off and on since I last changed my background!). I was excited when it worked!
Now, I have a question. Since the very first pictures I posted with Blogger's upgrade, I've been using their little add a caption button, which gives you a picture with a description in it like this...

Is it just me, or is he cute?!

But, I noticed while I was working on the background earlier just how small the letters really are in that box. (I usually view it in draft form, where it is larger...). Before the upgrade, I would do it like this...

He is just too sweet...

But, I can make the type larger in the box (I actually didn't know that until just now!).

Oh, he has also started climbing the stairs... got up two the other night! Yikes!

What do you think I should do in the future? 

On another ramble of blogging thoughts, I realized a couple Thankful Thursday posts ago that I had slowly changed how I did things.

I was typing out a Thankful Thursday post, and I was thinking, "You know, I'd like to start adding bible verses to the ends of these." A few minutes later, I thought "I should start doing these with a list-type format, so it is easier to read with all my ramblings."

A couple weeks later, I was reading through my old posts to slip some old stuff in my Thankful Thanksgiving post...

I had slowly some how stopped doing these things, without realizing, and totally forgot that I even did them! 

So, I will be going back through my Thankful posts, slowly but surely, and fix these things :). Then continue them in the future!

I feel like I haven't blogged much lately...

...so how do I actually have eleven posts from this month?! That actually sounds like way more than I remember writing! Haha... we have been so busy lately!!! But, now that Christmas is over, I hope to have (just a bit) more time to catch up on telling some little bits of news that I have meant to share (half of which are already written out... in my head, haha.), along with pictures.... Maybe :)...

Sooo...

I was looking at some of my stats yesterday, and I noticed that a couple of the key search words that have been used are "Sarah Mally" and "Sarah Mally blog" (in fact, over half of the search words that are common enough to mention- 24 times, to be exact!) . Now, I won't say that I know how this whole computer thing works. That could mean that those words have been typed into MY search box, but I personally take it to mean that these words/phrases have been typed, leading to my blog.. It is probably due to this post, possibly this one.
 So, I thought I've give some links for you who may run into the same thing of typing something about Miss Sarah Mally in and coming up with my blog :)...
Miss Sarah doesn't have a blog that I have found, but her sister, Miss Grace Mally, does. She keeps a family journal over at "Grace Notes", and shares plenty about ministry, family, and faith. And the Bright Lights Facebook page is at...
