O little town of Bethlehem,
How still we see thee lie!
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep
The silent stars go by.

This Christmas hymn was written by Phillips Brooks, Theodore Bryan's childhood "hero". I love the books about Theo, and I thought it was fun that one of my favorite Christmas songs was written by one of the main characters in the books :).
We are getting very close to the 25th of December, that day when we celebrate the birth of our wonderful Savior! Christmas time is always such a fun, sweet time, but we should always remember why this date is even special- not the candies, the gifts, or the change in the season- but the fact that the Lord came down to earth to save us.
